Adopted Bhoothpur mandal of Mahboobnagar district in Andhra
Pradesh to undertake field activities with a view to develop
it as a model mandal. Organized health camps, innovative agricultural
demonstrations, awareness camps and seasonal agricultural campaigns
as entry point activities. Prepared holistic Micro Plans for
Integrated Rural Development of 17 villages of the mandal with
participatory vision using an innovative approach i.e Village
Level Participatory Approach.

Prepared participatory integrated development plan and strategies
for the mandal using convergence approach.

Facilitated training of five unemployed graduates (staff of
PRDIS) on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) technologies on cotton
and chillies organized by FAO/UNDP/ Government of India/State
Department of Agriculture A.P. and also facilitated training
of six village volunteers and some of farmers on seed production,
water management and high value crops.

Facilitated implementation of rural development programmes (house,
drought mitigation works, feeder canal rehabilitation etc) in
collaboration with partner NGOs and with financial support from
Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology
(CAPART), GOI.

Undertaken District Level Monitoring of Rural Development Programmes
including TSC and Swajaladhara of Govt. of India .

Undertaken verification of Nirmal Gram Puraskar Applications which were submitted by PRIs to Ministry of Rural Development, GOI, New Delhi to recommend the PRIs for this award in Andhra Pradesh.

Organized one National Workshop, five district target group
workshops on Biotechnology for Sustainable Agricultural Development
in collaboration with Biotechnology Unit, (A.P. Netherlands
Biotechnology Programme), I.P.E., Hyderabad.

Activities related to Resource Center on Micro planning and
Micro Finance funded by CAPART are in progress.

Linkages were established with National and International Institutions
(NISIET, NIRD, MANAGE, NPPTI, BIO-TECHNOLOGY UNIT (APNLBP) WORLD
BANK PROJECTS, DFID PROGRAMMES etc) for undertaking consultancy
in capacity building studies.

Organized two training programmes for Non-Government Organizations
(NGO’s) representatives on preparation of micro plans
through village level participatory approach for integrated
rural development and project formulation sponsored by CAPART,
GOI. About 80 participants were trained in the programme and
they are being periodically monitored and guided by PRDIS.

Conducted twelve training programmes on Agri-clinics and Agri-business
Centres for unemployed agricultural graduates. These training
programmes are sponsored by Small Farmer Agri-business Consortium
(SFAC), New Delhi through MANAGE, Hyderabad. The duration of
these training programmes were two months each.

Organized 25 Farmer Field Schools in Bhootpur and Bijenepalli
mandals on IPM, seed production in 4 villages and vermicompost
in collaboration with FAO and Directorate of Agriculture, A.P.
in the villages as a strategy for improving Rural Livelihood
through SHGs and Rytumitra Groups as well as to pave way towards
organic farming in the mandal.

Organized groups and implemented organic farming programme in
collaboration with ETC-Solidardidad (Netherlands).

Organized FFS on ICM of Paddy at Chattisgarh State in collaboration
with CTDP, (IFAD funded programme) Bilaspur.

Impact Assessment of FFS approach to IPM on cotton in Karnataka
State was done. The overall objective of the study was to assess
the impact of cotton IPM through Farmer Field School (FFS) approach
in terms of human and social capital, existing practices and
economics of cotton production, pesticide usage, decision making
pattern, environmental conservation and health issues. This
project was funded by Food and Agriculture Organization of United
Nations (FAO).

We had the proud privilege to organize a stakeholder consultative workshop with other partners on outreach of institutional credit and cooperative reforms at Mahabubnagar during September 2006, for which our President is instrumental being a member of a sub-group of Planning Commission of India
A two-days workshop on 'orientation of CAPART Guidelines and Issues Relating to Project Formulation and Maintenance of Accounts', was organized by PRDIS at its Training Centre, Kismatpur, Rangareddy district, for the selected Voluntary Organizations in the districts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar.
Completed 6 months training programme for Rural Young Professionals, sponsored by CAPART, GOI.
Completed "Random Sample Survey of Habitations" in Andhra Pradesh on behalf of Department of Drinking Water Supply (DDWS), Ministry of Rural Development, and GOI. In this study , covered 730 Habitations in twenty districts of Andhra Pradesh to categorize the habitations has Fully Covered (FC), Partially Covered(PC) and Not Covered (NC) based on quality of the drinking water, quantity of the drinking water and distance of the source for drinking water .
Competed Verification of Nirmal Gram Puraskar applications which was funded by Department of Drinking Water Supply,Ministry of Rural Development, government of India in 30 GPs of Andhra Pradesh state during 2005-06 and 125 GPs of Karnataka during 2006-07.
Organised Exposure Visits to the Farmers, Scientists, Staff of CTDP to the Programme areas of PRDIS.
